The interview process spanned approximately 5 weeks and was a great experience overall. The recruiter, Barry, was excellent and clearly dedicated to supporting each candidate's success. The expectations for each interview stage were well-defined, and I appreciated the timely feedback. It was a 3-round online interview process. The first two rounds were with the head/director and focused on motivation and basic competency. Then there was an in-person meeting with the team, which also included another interview similar to the previous ones. Finally, there was an Excel assessment that took about 30 minutes, involving an actuals vs budget task requiring skills like Index/Match/Lookup. There was also a chance to ask questions at the end.

It started with two great calls with the recruiter, setting a positive tone. I even had the chance to connect with the new CRO, who is in my area, and that conversation also went well. However, meeting with the hiring manager changed things. He mentioned they use the ICCE method: Intelligence, Coachability, Character, and Experience. I'm not sure how my intelligence was assessed, as the questions felt superficial and didn't allow me to dive into my problem-solving approaches, whether quantitative or qualitative. I did share examples demonstrating my coachability and backed up my experience with stories. After the interview, I waited a week for a rejection email stating they were proceeding with candidates who better fit their criteria. This was surprising given my relevant experience, which was more extensive than the hiring manager's, and the positive feedback from earlier stages. I hope future candidates can ensure objectivity during interviews with sales development leadership to mitigate unconscious bias, especially since the rejection lacked specific feedback.

I interviewed with CA for their Resourcer role after they initially reached out. The first interview was a quick chat about role alignment. Then, I had a technical task where I was given a job description and had to answer questions about my candidate sourcing strategy, how I'd pitch roles, and boolean search techniques. The next three interviews were with different team members. The questions were pretty direct, and they were happy to answer my questions about the company and its culture. Emily was great with communication, keeping me updated and scheduling catch-ups. The whole process felt really smooth, and I felt well-supported.
