The interview process was brief. It started with an HR call where we discussed my background, experience, and education. After passing that initial stage, there was a one-on-one meeting with the team lead. They mentioned they don't offer visa sponsorship. They also asked about my previous internship experiences.

Coding Technical

Had a coding test with 8 questions, ranging from easy to medium difficulty. It was a 8-hour, situation-based coding round. The topics covered included in-memory storage, C++, C, arrays, and trees. Then, there were 2 technical rounds where I was asked basic computer science and coding questions about arrays and trees. I also had to write my own strcmp and strlen functions.

I applied via university and the whole thing took a day. It was a phone interview back in February 2014. It was a technical interview and they asked me C++ questions. The interviewer didn't really let me pick my programming language, he just asked if I was okay with C++. Even when I said I was comfortable with Java, he insisted on asking questions in C++.
