It was pretty straightforward. First, a phone interview with the recruiter, just a regular call with standard questions. Then, I spoke with the Hiring Manager about the teams and my resume and background. After that, there was a panel interview that started with a presentation and then turned into a discussion. It lasted a few hours and I met with several people. They asked a lot of questions about my experience and engineering theory, some of it was pretty tough because I had to remember a lot from school.

The interviews were pretty straightforward, mostly because I was only able to get through recruiters for basic positions. It seemed like they struggled to match experienced people with suitable roles. I was directed to entry-level jobs a few times, and then conversations with hiring managers showed I was actually a better fit for more complex work. I couldn't find a team hiring for both types of roles, and each team conducts its own interviews. After going back and forth several times, I just stopped looking and found employment elsewhere.

Applied for five engineering roles and heard back from a recruiter in two days. My first call was supposed to be that same week, but it got pushed back a week. Then I had a video call with the project lead, and they moved me to a panel interview scheduled for about two weeks later with several employees. The panel interview involved a 25-minute presentation about my background and projects, followed by two separate interviews. The first was with senior staff, focusing on fundamental engineering concepts like heat transfer and mechanical stress. The second was with a small engineering team, where they asked about my projects and how I tackle engineering problems. The scheduling was a bit chaotic due to many open positions. It seemed like they wanted to hire me, and I was a good fit, until I asked about work-life balance. Apparently, they're going for a 'SpaceX' approach to launch their first commercial products to help with the energy crisis. It's a great mission, but be aware that it might require significant personal sacrifice.
