First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Commonwealth Financial Network.
Intern
So I had a few rounds of interviews. It kicked off with HR looking over my resume. After that, I had an interview with three people from the team. It was mainly behavioral questions, and they asked why I was drawn to Commonwealth Financial.
- What makes you interested in Commonwealth?
Business Intelligence Intern
It was a 2 round interview. The first one was with HR, and it was a basic behavioral interview. They also asked me to rank the departments I was interested in. The second interview was with the department I was assigned to, and it focused more on my experience.
- Could you describe your experience with large datasets and interpreting data?
Intern
Recruiters are looking for genuine interest and a desire to learn about CFN. It's important to keep in touch with them throughout the process. I started with a recruiter screening call where I had to present my resume, explain my interest in CFN, and mention my preferred teams. After that, I had interviews with various teams, some as panels and others one-on-one via Teams. Each team interview counts as a separate round, and not advancing with one team doesn't prevent you from moving on with others. The interviews were mostly focused on personality and curiosity, with fewer technical questions, as they want to ensure you're a good team fit and genuinely interested.
- Can you provide an overview of your resume?
- Could you explain how to interpret a balance sheet?
- Tell me something interesting about yourself that isn't detailed on your resume.
