first there was a brief intro and I talked about my background. then they asked some basic questions about accounting and financial statements. after that, we did a calculation for credit and debit items in financial statements based on accounting standards. the final part was for me to ask questions.

3 interviews back-to-back same day: HR, analyst, then senior member. HR chat was quick, mostly about my CV and experiences. The analyst interview was the toughest, about 40 mins, lots of fast-paced technical questions. You really need to know financial statements and procedures inside out. If that went well, the final interview with the senior person was more relaxed, checking if my personality fit the company.

It was a very straightforward and easy interview. We talked about why I'm interested in Commerzbank, went over my resume, and discussed some personal fit and motivation questions. There were also some light technical questions about accounting. The interview took place on Skype with an Associate and a VP. The atmosphere during the interview was pleasant.
