I went to my college career fair and spoke with Exelon reps. They gave me a choice between applying for the nuclear engineering internship with Exelon or the power engineering internship with ComEd, but I couldn't do both. I chose ComEd. The chat went well and they set me up for an interview the next day. After that, I waited a couple months and got the offer from ComEd.

First, there's a phone call with HR to discuss salary and other basic stuff. They'll also get your okay to run a background check. I skipped a written/computer-based skills test, but others might do it. Then, you meet three managers back-to-back for about 10 minutes each, so it's a quick onsite session. Managers will ask about different things, starting with non-technical formula questions. If they know your work, they might ask about your specific skills. Otherwise, they'll keep it general. They're happy to answer your questions too. If you get an offer, you'll have to do a drug test offsite.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter called and set up a Teams meeting with two managers. They asked six STAR questions, then two technical questions, and some other follow-up stuff. I was ready for it, but I also found it tough because some of the questions didn't really relate to the field. The questions felt really standard and artificial, more so than usual. The interviewers were nice, but I'm not sure what they were looking for, because while I'm very technically skilled, I don't usually have to make up things at work; actually, it's risky to do so. So, the questions seemed more geared towards managers than individual contributors. The hiring process itself was pretty messy, and I had to chase the recruiter for updates. I see this as a sign of how the company operates and treats its employees, so I likely would have declined the offer anyway.
