First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Comcast.
Sales Consultant
I had a formal interview with the Operations Manager first, and then they referred me to CUSTOMER SERVICE. After that, I had a second interview with the Customer Service Manager. This second one was less formal, but it was mostly about assessing my 'fit' because the job is high-pressure and requires achieving mandatory sales goals.
- Describe a situation and what you would do.
Sales Consultant
I applied online and got a call back the same week for a phone interview. After that, I completed an online assessment and then was scheduled for a face-to-face interview the following week, which was also a job fair. Walk-ins were allowed and many people there hadn't even applied or taken the assessment. They started with a good presentation about the role. But when I met the store manager, it was awkward. She was in the interviewee's seat and told me to sit in the back, then changed her mind and said to sit in her spot, sighing like she didn't want to interview me. Her attention was divided between me and a coworker, making faces like she wasn't interested, which felt disrespectful and like a waste of time. I answered all questions thoroughly and felt I did well, mentioning availability for four locations, but I didn't get the job. I regret not choosing a different location.
- Would you be open to working at different store branches?
Sales Consultant
I got a few emails from Comcast recruiters to schedule a phone interview. I eventually replied and had the interview two days later. The recruiter went over the job details, pay, benefits, and work hours. If you do well, they'll move on to some general questions. After that, she mentioned she'd send a link for an assessment, which has four parts, one with a time limit. It's pretty straightforward, just be realistic, don't overhype yourself. If you pass the assessment, you'll get set up for an in-person interview. I went in and had to wait a bit for the manager. It involved five detailed questions. The interview email provides practice tips and questions, which I highly recommend using. All the questions on the practice site were asked in the interview, so being prepared is key. The manager said she liked me and that the recruiter would be in touch Monday or Tuesday, but we'll see!
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Comcast?
- Could you describe two of your strengths and two of your weaknesses?
- What is it that motivates you?
