Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Comcast.
Manager
The process included a recruiter screen, a meeting with the hiring manager, a peer interview, and a final discussion with the department head. The recruiter set up all these meetings and provided me with helpful context, like the LinkedIn profiles of the interviewers and details on how my role would intersect with theirs.
- Can you describe your approach to stakeholder management and your experience working collaboratively in a team setting?
Business Manager
The process was really smooth and they got back to me fast, showing they respect candidates' time. It lasted about two weeks, starting with a phone screen, then a panel interview with the hiring managers, and finally an interview with the district manager. Everyone involved was great and really open about what they were looking for.
- Can you share your motivations and what drives you?
Employee Relations Manager
First, I had a 30-minute chat with a recruiter about the job, which seemed okay but the recruiter wasn't super engaged. Surprisingly, the hiring manager wanted to move forward and set up a video call. That interview was with the hiring manager, lasted an hour, and felt like a natural conversation about my background, the role's duties, and some specific questions she had for me, mostly behavioral. She mentioned the top two folks would meet her boss and I'd hear back in a couple of weeks. I never got any update after that.
- Can you share an instance where you took the initiative to resolve a small problem before it escalated into a larger one?
