We will start with a brief overview of 'accident-maladie' (accident-sickness) insurance products and why they're important for families to cover their needs. Then, we'll go over the requirements to enter this profession, which is regulated by the Autorité des marchés financiers in Quebec. Combined Assurance will provide financial and technical support for your training to get your AMF permits in accident & sickness for three weeks at the Boucherville training center. We'll also cover the compensation system from the first year, and specifically the weekly allowance during training and the first four weeks after getting your permits.

I was reached out to after submitting my resume. I went through two phone calls that were pretty laid-back, mainly because of the manager. During the second one, I found out I was up against someone from State Farm who they figured could bring a client list. I ended up getting the job offer over the phone, which is when things got a bit tricky. I had to set up travel to California for two weeks of training. Being in California was great, but the training itself, having to memorize a 10-page sales script, was rough. Overall, the interview was fairly simple, and I later learned it's because Combined is struggling and needs people urgently.

We had some informal chats, a sales personality test, then I filled out the formal application. After that, I had several conversations with executives at different levels, and they did a background check. They then outlined the job details and compensation structure, along with the business model and future outlook.
