So, after the interview, there's a background check. I talked with two folks: my potential direct manager and someone else from the department. They asked pretty standard questions, you know, the same ones for everyone. Overall, it was a really good experience.

It started with a phone interview, then I met two people from the department in person and felt good about it. A week later, they called me back to meet the head of the department and some other important staff. During this second meeting, one person kept cutting me off while I was answering and was really dismissive about my background. When she walked me out, she completely ignored me when I tried to say goodbye. They said they'd let me know by the next week, but I never heard back. It was a waste of my time and energy.

It was a very laid-back interview process. I had a chat with my potential direct manager and someone else like them. It was basically a rundown of my past work. Then, I met with my direct manager and their boss. It was more of the same. I got the offer a few weeks down the line.
