The interview process was pretty chill and enjoyable. The head of the search committee was super nice and approachable. They asked some cool questions and really seemed interested in me, both as a candidate and as a person.

The interview process was straightforward, though it did take some time to wrap up. Initially, there was a less than an hour interview with HR. Following that, I had a three-part interview with the admissions team. This involved meeting with the whole team first, then a smaller group I would be working with, and finally, the assistant vice president.

I applied online and got an email about an interview. I had to schedule it 2 weeks out and then rescheduled it for even later. The interview itself was really formal but also pretty easy going. They asked the usual questions you get in a traditional interview. They said I'd hear back in a few days about whether I was moving on, but I never did.

It started with a phone interview, then I met two people from the department in person and felt good about it. A week later, they called me back to meet the head of the department and some other important staff. During this second meeting, one person kept cutting me off while I was answering and was really dismissive about my background. When she walked me out, she completely ignored me when I tried to say goodbye. They said they'd let me know by the next week, but I never heard back. It was a waste of my time and energy.

  • Can you describe a situation where you had to manage a problem involving both faculty and students?
