- Can you tell me about yourself?
Planner
There was a lot of waiting time during the interview process. The HR didn't stick to the scheduled times. Even though it was still 45-40 minutes before lunch, they didn't proceed with the interviews for the last two applicants, despite there being two of them scheduled.
- Can you describe your prior work history?
Buyer
I applied to a hybrid Buyer's position at Collins within their Interiors division. About 3 weeks after applying, I got an email for a call with their HR/Recruiter. We scheduled a 20-minute chat to discuss my prior experience, what I'm looking for, and salary needs. He thought I'd be a great fit and asked if he could submit my resume for another open role in purchasing. A week later, I had a Zoom panel interview with 2 of the hiring managers. We talked about my background, current job, long-term goals, and the responsibilities of the Collins roles. I felt it went well, and they noted my current duties matched the open role's expectations. They explained the next steps: HR would reach out if they decided to proceed. I was feeling optimistic. Then, radio silence for almost 2 months. My applicant portal status remained 'Under Review'. Finally, I got an automated email stating the position was 'administratively canceled' by their hiring teams, even though it's still posted as open. It left a poor impression.
