Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Collins Aerospace.
Manufacturing Engineer
The interview was conducted over Zoom, and it felt relaxed and behavioral. I scheduled it via email, and it lasted about 30 minutes. It was a really quick process overall. They mostly asked about my previous experience listed on my resume, and there were no technical questions.
- Can you tell me about a specific experience from your resume?
Industrial Engineer
It was a panel interview with the hiring manager and two other people from the IE team. They mostly asked behavioral questions and then asked me to expand on my resume. I also got to ask questions at the end. It was pretty straightforward.
- Tell me about yourself and your experiences.
- Can you elaborate on the details of your resume?
- Do you have any questions for us?
Industrial Engineer
The interview process was super simple, almost too easy. First, I had a quick chat with HR to cover the basics and move forward. Then, I spoke with the engineering manager; this call was also pretty brief, maybe 15 minutes, and covered typical interview stuff like strengths, weaknesses, and projects I'm proud of.
- Can you share a weakness and explain how you manage it?
- What are your strengths?
- Tell us about a project you're particularly proud of.
