First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Collins Aerospace.
Intern
I interviewed for the role in September. The manager set up a 30-minute Team call to discuss the role, my fit, and how my background applied. I heard back within a week.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Intern
It was a typical interview with questions about my experience, a time I worked in a diverse setting, and what the role means to me. The interviewers were friendly and seemed keen to get to know me better.
- Can you describe a situation where you improved a process?
- Tell me about a time you changed a process.
Intern
I requested an informational interview about the company and ended up getting hired on the spot. They seemed to care more about my passion for the role than my technical skills, saying it was okay if my expertise wasn't as strong as others since I'd be learning a lot. It was a really nice and honest experience.

- Tell me about your technical expertise.
- Are you open to learning a lot while on the job?
