Product Manager
The recruiter called and we talked for about 15 minutes. I asked about salary details, but he said he couldn't recall them and would email them to me. I never got that email, and the next day I received an automated email saying my profile wasn't a good fit right now. Felt like a shady and unprofessional company.
- Can you tell me about yourself and what your role entails?
Product Manager
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. First, there was a Recruiter screening for 30 minutes via phone. I got through that. The second round was with the Director of Product Management via Zoom call, asking general questions about the job. Then, I moved to the third round. The third round was with a Product Manager for 30 minutes via Zoom and included a few behavioral questions. I thought I answered well with STAR examples, but unfortunately, I did not move forward. Overall, it was a good experience. It seems like a wonderful company to work for and they have a good product. I was a little disappointed that I did not go through. Good Luck to others.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What does Product Management mean to you?
- Describe a time you failed and how you handled it.
Product Manager
I was told this would be a 3-round process, then a decision. Applied with resume and cover letter on 8/8. First round was a recruiter phone screen on 8/19. Second round was with the Hiring Manager on 8/21. Third round was 4 interviews with 4 stakeholders on 9/11 - 9/12. The staff were nice and the atmosphere was relaxed, with normal PM questions. There was no communication about the 3 week gap between rounds 2 and 3, which would have been nice to have a heads up about. In rounds 2 and 3, they mentioned management turnover, delays due to staff being out of office, and budget concerns, which was a bit odd given the role was posted multiple times. After the interviews, I felt disappointed, but I think being rejected was for the best. I believe the recruiter cared, but couldn't share info due to company policies. My experience and others' on Glassdoor suggest systemic issues. It's been over a week with no contact, feels like ghosting. I emailed on 9/24 and 9/30 about a decision, and they mentioned staff availability and headcount talks. I was rejected on 10/4. I asked for feedback but was told none is provided, which is standard but still disappointing. They asked me to look out for an internal survey, but I'd rather share my experience here.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you encountered with stakeholders, detailing your actions and the final result?
