Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cole, Scott & Kissane.
Associate Attorney
It started with a call from the internal recruiter, then I spoke with an attorney at the specific branch I was hoping to join. The whole thing moved pretty fast from when I interviewed to when they made an offer. They asked good questions, and everyone I talked to seemed really knowledgeable and passionate about the company.
- Could you tell me about your relevant experience and your long-term goals?
Attorney
You'll usually talk to several people. They'll ask you questions to get to know you and also some technical ones. They also want to see if you're up for litigating. There will be multiple rounds of interviews including group sessions and potentially a final onsite.
- Where do you see your career heading in the long run?
Associate Attorney
I met with the managing partner of the group and a few associates. The partner asked me typical interview questions. He then showed me around to meet the associates so I could get a better feel for the work environment, which was nice. The interview process appears to differ significantly based on the group you're applying to. My whole process took under a week, but I've heard of others interviewing and completing assignments for months before getting an offer.
- Could you tell me about your previous experience?
