The interview process was genuinely amazing. Although I felt a bit nervous going in, the manager made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Their friendly attitude really helped create a positive atmosphere throughout.

I first met with the manager in person, and then I submitted my application online. A few days later, I had my interview, and they offered me the position over the phone the day after. The background check and onboarding process took about a week or two. It was a really great experience. The interviewer seemed really enthusiastic and expressed a desire to help me advance to a better role and eventually become a manager. I'm excited to start working with them!

I applied on the Nike Careers Website, but back when Nike was selling Cole Haan, now it's on the Cole Haan website. I applied in June and got a call back in August, so it took a while. But when they called, the interview was right away. It was a 'protocol' interview where they asked regular questions and judged my happiness, ability to smile, be friendly, and my likeability. They wanted someone with experience, but based on others hired, you can have little to no experience and still get the job by being outgoing, well-dressed, and cool. After that, I had a second interview with the store manager soon after. He was just another screener, approving what the assistant manager liked. He liked me right away and emailed me a background check, which I filled out and signed electronically. I got the job offer a few days later. The pay was little to start, but the ability to work up hourly and commission is really great and quick. My hourly rate has gone up significantly. Commission changed quarterly (every 3 months) based on sales. Originally, walking into my first Cole Haan store for my interview, the store and managers looked intimidating and were dressed very formally. The two guys working there were good-looking, which made me more nervous. They were very nice and accommodating though, even when they realized I was there for an interview and not to buy.
