The scheduling was super fast after applying, and it stayed that way through the stages. It started with a quick recruiter call, who was also the hiring manager. We didn't dive deep into my background; they seemed to assume a lot from my resume. Then, there was one interview round with four different recruiters, 30 minutes each. One focused on data, while the other three asked general scenario/behavioral questions. The questions were so high-level they didn't really get a feel for my specific focus or background. After this really fast interview process, and the team being so responsive, all of a sudden, communication just stopped. I emailed three times with no response. It was a terrible candidate experience, and I'm just assuming I didn't do well and got ghosted.

The interview process had red flags even before the actual interview. I received an email requesting to set up a call around 3 AM EST, several hours after applying for the recruiter position. This late-night email, considering US time zones, suggested a lack of work-life balance consideration at the company. Another red flag was that the confirmation email for my call with the recruiting coordinator instructed me to join a video call, but this wasn't mentioned in the initial outreach. I joined the video call five minutes early as instructed, but the interviewing recruiter was about seven minutes late, making me wait a total of 12 minutes. The recruiter was cold, and the conversation didn't feel promising from the start. The format was surprising, unlike any initial recruiter call I'd experienced. It felt like a full-blown interview with behavioral questions, which I wouldn't have expected without prior indication, especially since we hadn't fully discussed my background and experience yet. Despite joining late, the recruiter cut me off mid-question during our brief Q&A to end the call on the half-hour, which felt unprofessional. It might have been clear to them that I wasn't a fit, but it was a poor candidate experience and first impression. I did receive an email stating they wouldn't move forward, within the specified timeframe. However, after meeting with the recruiter, I also realized I wouldn't be interested in working there. This experience made it clear that it wouldn't be a place I'd want to work.

Had four phone calls, one was a technical call that felt like a pop quiz and then went through Linkedin Recruiter search functions. Pretty simple. Everyone was really nice. However, I mentioned I was coming from a different industry and they didn't seem to think that was valuable. I've gotten offers from Amazon, FB, etc., but didn't get an offer here, so it must be tougher.
