I had a mcq test, then a codesignal assessment, and then 2 technical rounds. The first technical round was about creating a drop down component, like a select box. The second technical round had questions similar to the codesignal assessment. The codesignal assessment itself involved some boilerplate code for building a react feature, kind of like search engines.

The interview process involved a recruiter call, followed by a frontend assessment. This assessment was a 90-minute test where I was surveilled via camera, speakers, and screenshare, and I wasn't allowed to look up anything. Then, I had to complete a coinbase value assessment, which seemed to require answering as a type A, ladder-climbing person. The whole process was terrible and ridiculous, not something even FAANG companies do.

First, there was a recruiter call about my background and salary expectations. Then, a virtual tech screen where I had to build a React component. After that, a virtual onsite included a 1-hour technical interview focused on React component building and CSS, a 1-hour system design interview, a 1-hour meeting with an engineering team lead, and a 1-hour technical interview for debugging. I asked about work-life balance, and the answer was basically 'you can work what you want, but many work long hours for good pay,' which felt a bit off. I was told I'd hear back in about a week. I didn't get an offer, which was unexpected since I passed all technical parts. The recruiter said I had good energy and communication, and demonstrated my technical skills well, but they felt my skills weren't at the senior level they needed, which was confusing given I passed everything. Everyone was nice, but I wished for more clarity on expectations.
