Had 6 interviews and a cognitive assessment over 3 months. Started with a recruiter screen, then a tech screen, then communication and organisation, a live coding interview, team fit, and finally a presentation on a take home assignment which took a few days to prepare. Got ghosted by the recruiter after the last round and any follow-ups were met with 'still deciding'. Super unprofessional, wouldn't recommend.

The HR process was smooth and involved questions about why I'm interested in Coinbase, details on an impactful project I worked on, and why I'd be a good fit for the team. The last part included open questions and a detailed explanation of the interview process and what the next steps might be.

First, you'll complete a 'culture' assessment with some odd questions like "What do you value more, morality or hard work?" and "If you're swamped but are asked to interview a candidate, what would you do?". If you pass this, it's a standard tech screen, then a final round. In the final round, interviewers seem too busy for in-depth interviews and ask questions unrelated to the job you applied for. You answer them to their satisfaction, with no follow-ups. After a long process of over a month, you're rejected, even though they said you did great, and the job is still open a year later.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Please rank by numbering (and without further explanation) how you would prioritize these: A) Doing the right and moral thing, B) Being diligent, C) Committing to deadlines.
