Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved four steps. First, an HR interview where we walked through my resume, discussed how my experience aligns with their needs, and I brought up points from their website. They asked why I wanted the job and my five-year goals. They also inquired about salary expectations. Second, a Hiring Manager interview focused on deeper PM questions, methodologies, and handling challenging interactions with colleagues, situations, and vendors. It was advised to have stories ready and good questions about PM, Agile, bottlenecks, and challenges, as well as onboarding and team structure. The interviewer noted a low energy from the hiring manager, leading to a feeling that it might be a 'basic Norwegian job' rather than an innovation-focused role, considering Norway's emphasis on comfortable living over massive bonuses. Third, a case study involved receiving a PDF with a client scenario and questions, followed by a presentation to a PM and Portfolio Manager. It was recommended to put significant effort into this, including graphics and templates, and to practice the presentation. The candidate felt they didn't do well here, as the interviewers were quiet and asked few questions about vendors, sprints, and reviews. The rejection was attributed to the presentation performance. Fourth, there was a salary negotiation stage, implied to be the final step.

The first interview was alright and pretty short, only 30 minutes, so I couldn't ask my important questions. We agreed to follow up on those later. I was then scheduled for a second interview. After that, HR just went quiet and didn't respond to any of my emails.
