Got a call from the recruiter. The process was super fast, only taking a week. There were just 3 rounds: first, a LLD round focusing on React; second, a System Design round; and third, a Hiring Manager round. I passed all rounds and HR offered me the software engineer position.

I went all the way to the final interview, but the whole process was really slow. It took a week to get the first response, and even then, another day to hear back. After the second phase, I waited almost a week for the third phase, then two more days for the final round. A whole week went by before the final decision. In total, about a month passed with these 1-hour-ish weekly interactions, which was frustrating. They rejected me saying background and personality weren't a good fit, which seemed weird to screen so late. I asked what was lacking, but haven't heard back, so I'm not feeling hopeful. It was an unsatisfying experience, and I wish they'd be more efficient to avoid wasting people's time.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • A generic code interview was conducted.
  • A small sample project was assigned.
  • There was a follow-up meeting to review the sample project.

Coding Presentation

A friend referred me to a recruiter, and I sent my CV. I went through two online coding sessions on Google Meet using screen sharing. One involved solving a small, simple problem. The other required implementing a new feature for an application before the session and then explaining its architecture. I made some architectural design mistakes, which I also recognized. Because of this, I didn't pass. The entire process spanned about 14 days, with very quick responses. Since I'm not very experienced with interviews, I can't really compare, but generally, things seemed okay.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you explain your architecture and technology choices?
