So I recently got selected by Coforge for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role through an on-campus hiring drive. Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience, which I hope helps future aspirants preparing for similar roles. 🧠 Round 1: Online Assessment This round was split into three parts: Aptitude (Quant, Numerical, Logical, Spatial, CS Fundamentals MCQs), Coding (one medium question on arrays, linked lists, strings, sorting, etc.), and Computer Science Fundamentals (MCQs on OS, DBMS, Networks, OOPs). 🗣️ Round 2: Communication & Verbal Ability This round checked my verbal and written communication, including Repeat the Sentence, Fill in the Blanks, Essay Writing, and a 2-minute talk on a topic. It evaluated pronunciation, grammar, coherence, and fluency. 💻 Round 3: Technical Interview This was a 40-minute in-depth technical interview. It started with introductions, then a discussion on my projects, followed by a coding question (print a series using loops). We then dived deep into Java concepts like Multithreading and OOPs (all principles, encapsulation vs. abstraction). I also had to design an Employee database schema, write SQL queries, and apply Normalization up to 2NF. 💬 Final Round: HR Interview This round was more about my personality and communication. We discussed my internship experience, freelancing work at GeeksforGeeks, family background, and hobbies. The HR mainly looked at my communication and confidence. ✅ Final Selection Just two hours after finishing all the rounds, I got the news — I was selected for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role at Coforge!
