First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Codazen.
Full Stack Engineer
First, we had an informational chat where we went over my background and motivations. Then, there was a Hackerrank test with coding and technical questions, which I had about an hour to finish. After that, we had a 1-hour coding interview via Zoom where I had to share my screen and tackle some coding problems and system design questions. Finally, I had an in-person technical and behavioral interview with the hiring manager.
- I had to build a kanban board with states like Backlog, In progress, and In review, and write the code to add/remove tasks and move them between states.

The hiring process was surprisingly bad. The tech side was probably also not great. I got through all the rounds pretty easily, but I guess I didn’t make it past the really long 2-hour behavioral interview where I talked to the same person the whole time. I wasn't sure if they wanted to hire me or marry me. I was using this company for practice, but after this bad experience, I felt it was important to share.
