So I had this interview with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, and it was pretty short but gave me a lot to think about. I went through two interviews. First up was the Talent Acquisition Manager, and then I chatted with the hiring manager for the job. Things seemed to go well in both chats. The hiring manager even said they were interested in moving me on to the next stage after our talk. I then reached out to the Talent Manager to ask about what's next and to say I'm still keen on the job. But, I never heard back from them. Even though the interviews were promising, I just got ghosted, no follow-up or anything. I really think companies should be professional all the way through, even if they're not moving forward with someone. How they handle the end of the process says a lot. Being left in silence after a good interview really leaves a bad taste. Hopefully, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida can use this as feedback to get better at communicating and following through with candidates, especially for high-level, professional roles.

I applied online and got an email the next day asking for a one-way video interview, which I thought was a horrible way to get to know someone. I submitted the video interview within a couple of days and then got an email asking for a phone screen. The screen went well, and within a week I was scheduled to talk with the hiring manager and a member of his team. That call went well, but based on some later comments with just the manager about compensation and how my requested salary was above their salary range (which wasn't on the job posting), I figured I'd not hear from them again. They didn't ask me to lower my requested salary, but you could tell they were expecting me to say that. About a week later I got an email stating they decided to pursue other applicants. I had looked them up on Glassdoor before I applied, and many reviews had stated they will stiff you with a low salary and tell you they will fix it after you're hired to really never give people a substantial raise, so I was prepared to ask for a fair market wage for my level of experience and training. If I had to guess, they picked the cheapest candidate, and that person may already be wishing they hadn't taken the job.

So first I had a phone call, then they set up an in-person meeting with the manager. We talked about basic stuff, and then I had to go get a drug screened and do an online background check. For real though, if you interview for this, don't stress and be ready for the questions. After the phone screen, they'll email you some stuff to help you get ready for the next interview - definitely read that! Have your examples ready. The manager said I was the only one who really answered the questions, and it's because I used the prep stuff they sent. Good luck!

This company is a joke, don't get fooled by the "Coca Cola" name. This company is separate from actual Coca Cola. Interviewed with company a few months back and got an email that Friday saying that the interview went well and they were interested in hiring me for the position. Started talking numbers with the recruiter at the company, he said he was preparing me an offer letter. Checked back with him the following week as I had not gotten an offer yet. He told me to follow back up on Friday. Followed up on Friday and he said "Check back next Friday, things are looking good though". For 2 months this "check back next week" response from him was the norm. I went silent for several weeks and got a call out of the blue saying that they were really close to sending me an offer for exactly what I wanted. I asked him on the phone what was going on and asked if it normally took months to hire someone for a position. He explained that their processes changed and things were harder to get approved now. Needless to say I never got an offer even though the recruiter PROMISED me that this was a legitimate position and that I was the #1 candidate they were trying to hire. Company is a complete mess and a waste of time. Don't bother even trying to interview with these guys, what a nightmare.
