Cobham Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process started with a phone interview in December. It had five questions about things like solving problems and leadership. I didn't have much contact info, so it was hard to send a thank you. I didn't hear back until February, and they said they were still thinking about candidates. In March, they told me I was a final candidate. They would only talk about it on the phone, which was annoying because I couldn't get anything in writing. It also took three weeks to finally talk to someone and get information. The whole thing was poorly managed and frustrating. I only found out I had to be in Atlanta two weeks before the date, and it was set in stone even though it conflicted with my FE exam.

I had a technical interview with four or maybe five engineers on the same call. It was very disorganized and people kept dropping in and out of the call session, so I had to repeat myself a lot. One engineer had very poor call quality and I couldn't understand any of his questions. The questions were primarily about my resume and engineering experience with one technical question thrown in. I presume I didn't get the position since that was about a month ago and no one has bothered to even call me or e-mail me to let me know. They are very unprofessional and disorganized.

HR reached out to schedule a meeting with the Hiring Manager. He started with some personality questions, then moved on to the technical aspects of the interview. It was pretty much what you'd expect for this role.
