First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CoBank.
Software Engineer
The interview process went well and was very organized. It started with a simple behavioral video interview, then a second round with the hiring managers. Everyone I met was nice, professional, and did a good job explaining the job and what they're looking for. All in all, it was a good experience.
- Can you talk about your previous work as detailed on your resume?
Attorney
The interview process usually kicks off with an initial screening, typically a phone or online chat, to go over my background, basic qualifications, and my interest in the job. After that, I'd get invited to a more formal interview, which could be one-on-one or with a group of people. Here, they'd hit me with technical legal questions and behavioral ones to see how I handle problems, communicate, and if I've got good judgment. Sometimes, they’d throw in a quick legal task or ask me to break down a situation to check my practical thinking. The interviewers would also chat about the firm's vibe, what they expect, and give me space to ask my own questions. All in all, it felt organized, professional, and like a good way for everyone to see if it's a good fit.
- Do you like to read books?
Credit Analyst Intern
There was an online interview that took place on a custom platform. For each of the seven questions, I had 4 minutes to record my answer. I could re-record and practice before answering. The questions were mostly behavioural.
- Can you tell me about a challenge you faced?
- What have been some of your achievements?
- What are your goals?
Process Management Manager
Had an initial call with the Recruiter, Then a 30 min video call with the Hiring Manager, then came onsite for 2 hours of in person interviews. Was all perfectly normal, moved quickly through the process. Then they completely ghosted me. No response to my many e-mail follow-ups, no word on the position, for three weeks. I guess I'm just waiting for the HRIS system to send me a robo-email someday. It's seems pretty unprofessional to not communicate in any way to someone you did in-person interviews with...
- Pretty standard questions asked, all appropriate to the role.
