The whole process felt really unprofessional. When I arrived, they seemed surprised to see me, and it looked like the interview was thrown together at the last minute.
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial for this role?
Customer Service Advisor
First, there's a brief 10-minute phone chat just to see how you sound on the phone. If that goes well, you'll get invited to an assessment, which takes about 2-3 hours. This includes a short presentation about the Co-op, an IT skills test, and a role-playing exercise where you act as the advisor and the interviewer plays a customer. Finally, there's an interview. You need to pass the IT test to move on to the role-play and the main interview. The interview is heavily focused on competencies, and they want you to use the STAR method for your answers.
- How would you handle a challenging customer?
- Can you describe your previous customer service experience?
Customer Service Advisor
The interview process started with a group session, which was quite good. We did a short presentation and a 20-minute skills test. After that, I had a one-on-one meeting. This involved a roleplay scenario for the job, for which I was given 10 minutes to review the necessary information beforehand to prepare. Following the roleplay, there was a discussion about the position and some additional interview questions. The interviewer was very approachable and easy to communicate with, making it a positive interview experience.
- What makes you want to join the co-op?
- Could you tell me about your understanding of this role?
