Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CNH Industrial.
Purchasing Specialist
So, first there was like an initial phone screen with an HR generalist, then a phone interview with the department-specific HR manager. After that, I was brought in for an in-person meeting with the hiring manager. Finally, we went into compensation negotiations with the department HR manager. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a big company that's run like an auto manufacturer, lots of bureaucracy, so it can drag on. Now that I'm on the inside, I see there are just tons of meetings, so finding a time when everyone can get together to talk about something like a candidate can take ages.
- Were you concerned with how much knowledge I had of the company's history?
Supply Chain Analyst
I went through three rounds of interviews. The first was purely technical, focusing on my past work, knowledge, skills, and resume projects. It lasted an hour and was challenging. They also asked about my problem-solving approach for team-relevant issues. The second round was with higher management and was mostly behavioral, featuring great interaction and interesting questions about my work style. The third round involved a meeting with my manager, followed by a brief call with HR.
- How would you approach different problems relevant to the team?
- Describe your work style.
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your software skills based on what you've listed?
Supply Chain Intern
Got contacted the day after my university career fair for an initial chat, which was pretty much a vibe check. Then, less than a week later, I had a phone interview with three managers where we talked about my resume and how I could add value. Got an offer via email about a week after that.
- What are some typical STAR method questions you've been asked?
