Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CNA.
Analyst
The interview process was really disorganized and not efficient at all. It took the recruiter over a week, plus an extra email follow-up, just to schedule an initial phone call. Then, only two days before our scheduled call, I got an automated rejection email and that was it.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Summer Analyst
To get a phone interview, you first have to submit your project details for a pre-screen. Then, during the actual interview, two analysts will go over the project you submitted. They'll ask you about everything related to your project, like how you got your dataset. They might also ask a little bit about teamwork, like some behavioral questions.
- Could you explain what an interaction term is?
- How do you approach dealing with overfitting?
Policy Analyst
The hiring process felt slow and disjointed. I was left waiting for a long time between steps, with each stage taking about two to three weeks to get a response. It seemed like there were communication delays, as everyone I spoke with indicated they were waiting on someone else to move things forward.
- Tell me about your insurance experience and how long you have worked in the industry.
