I applied for a few different marketing roles but they all seem to be the same job with made-up titles. I got a call the next day to set up an interview, which was just for scheduling. The office had no signs and was hard to find. Once inside, there was no seating and nobody cared that I waited 30 minutes past my interview time. After another 15 minutes, I was called in. The interviewer told me there are 3 steps. I saw people waiting for step 3. I told him I don't want commission or to hand out flyers. He didn't ask about my skills. I couldn't get a straight answer on the job or pay but confirmed it's commission-based, on-site at retail, and has no benefits. The job description was misleading and they seemed to be hiring anyone willing to take the job, not looking for talent.

Got a call a couple days back and set up an interview for today at 11:15 AM. I got there on time, but they were running late and I had to chill for about 45 minutes before my interview. The manager laid out the hiring steps: three interviews before they decide on an offer. My first interview was quick, maybe 15-20 mins. Definitely bring your resume. They said they'd call back people who are moving on later. The next 'interview' is like a group session where they teach a whole bunch of us about how the company works. The third step is shadowing someone who already works there, and then they might give you an offer. I've seen like 40 people either doing their first interview or in the classroom session. It's a real cattle call.

The hiring process moved really fast. I got an email asking me to set up a call, and the only times open were for the next few days. They sent a quick video explaining their interview process and giving some useful tips. When I went in for the interview, I had some trouble finding the office. The interview itself was professional, but the questions weren't too challenging. I got a call back for a second interview the day after, and they offered me the job.

I thought this position would be great from the description. Turns out, it isn't anything like what they said it would be. After going through two rounds of interviews, I was finally told that I would be at a booth in a store or on the street selling items. No base salary, no benefits, just commission. I just wish they had been up front about what the position entailed at first, so I didn't waste my time. Do not be fooled by the job descriptions, the ONLY thing this job is is a sales job.
