Applied for this QA Analyst position in Dec 2022 and the whole interview process took about 4 months, wrapping up in April 2023. It was quite a lengthy and draining experience. Started with 2 pre-assessment aptitude tests, then moved on to 2 managerial interviews that were pretty straightforward since the hiring manager seemed to be reading from notes. The final stage was an interview with the COO. Waiting for updates from the hiring team was a drag, often taking weeks, which was really frustrating. Even though the final round with the COO seemed to go well, I was rejected after a couple of weeks. It's a bit baffling how they can take 4 months and 4 interview rounds just to reject a candidate.

So I went through four rounds. It started with HR for about 30 minutes, then a technical interview that lasted an hour. After that, there was a 30-minute meeting with the manager, and finally a quick 15-minute chat with the CTO. I haven't heard anything back since then, which is a bummer because I haven't even looked at other jobs after this, thinking it went well and I wouldn't have to say no to other offers. It would be nice to at least get a response, even if it's a 'no,' so I know whether to keep looking elsewhere.

So for this company, the interview starts off with this thing called an On Demand Assessment, you do it on a site called Criteria. You get an email with a link to do it. It's got two parts, first is an aptitude test, which has 40 questions and you only get 20 minutes to do it, it's all about your brain power and solving stuff. Then there's a personality test, that one has 133 questions and you have 10 minutes for it, it's to see what you're like. They tell you upfront that if you don't pass the test part, they won't move forward with you. After you finish the tests, they send you an email so you can see how you did on the aptitude part. So yeah, the first step is basically this online test with two sections, and you gotta pass it to get to the next stage.
