First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CMCSS.
Teacher
Simple questions about my subject expertise and teaching style/routines were asked by the principal and a few other administrative staff in the school admin room on a weekday afternoon.
- Can you describe a typical day in your classroom?
- How would you describe your teaching style?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Educational Assistant
I submitted an online application and had two references send in their recommendation forms. Later, I was contacted by Principals. My interview for the school I was hired at happened right before school started. I liked the school building and staff from the start. The principal mostly read from a sheet but also asked a couple of her own questions. It felt like this role was an afterthought since hiring teachers was the priority, and I later learned I was one of the last hires before the new school year.
- Did you have prior experience managing inventory?
Graphic Designer
You'll need to submit a portfolio and complete a design skills test. The interview will cover your understanding of design and production abilities. Be ready to share your thoughts on current designs and suggest enhancements. A typing test is also part of the process.
- What's your experience with Adobe Creative Suite?
Spanish Teacher
I applied online and had interviews with two different schools. I was told the school I preferred was hiring a transfer teacher instead. However, both interviews went well and felt friendly.
- What makes you want to work for CMCSS?
