Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clyde & Co.
Senior Associate
I applied and a recruiter reached out. The interview was on Teams with two people. It wasn't super tough, more of a chat about my resume to see my experience and if I could do the job. I think I asked them more questions than they asked me!
- How do you feel about working for a Defendant firm, given your experience is only with Claimant firms?
Summer Associate
I first interviewed on my school's OCI and then got a call-back invitation after about a month. In the call-back, I interviewed with one partner and one senior associate. The call-back interview was about 1 hour in total.

Associate
So I had two interviews for the Associate role, both online. The first one was with two partners and the second with one partner and an HR person. I've wanted to join this firm for a while, and honestly, the interviews themselves were pretty reasonable. The partners were nice, asked relevant stuff, and it felt like a normal conversation. But man, the firm's behavior at the end was super unprofessional. After the second interview, I heard nothing for over a week. I nudged them because I was interviewing elsewhere. They gave me some lame excuse about a partner being away and suggested doing referencing. I sent over my referees' details. My referees then told me Clyde & Co never contacted them. I called to check, and HR basically dodged the question, hinting they had called but were vague. They then said all the partners were away that week and a decision would probably be made next week. The craziest part? I never heard back AT ALL about the outcome. Seriously, after two interviews and fake referencing, not even a courtesy rejection email. Just ghosted. That's not how you treat people, Clyde & Co. Lying about references to drag things out and then zero communication after a whole process with partner interviews is just bad and disrespectful. Candidates should know this can happen.
