HR first gave an overview of the entire interview process. The first round involved JavaScript questions focusing on promises, call, apply, bind, and currying. The second round tested knowledge of DOM APIs, HTML, and CSS by asking to implement a small requirement, and also touched upon web performance. The third round was a take-home assignment with a two-day deadline. The fourth round included more web-related questions on topics like performance, locale, debouncing/throttling, infinite scrolling, and pagination. A fifth, non-technical round with the country head was planned but didn't occur. No data structures or algorithms were part of any round. Things seemed positive up to the fourth round, but then there was radio silence from HR for three months. Eventually, another HR reached out asking if I wanted to proceed, mentioning I had cleared four rounds. I declined due to the lack of feedback and the abrupt communication. I also wasn't keen on relocating to Bangalore, as remote work seemed unlikely unless the COVID situation was severe. Considering the post-COVID situation and my own health, relocating felt like a poor trade-off. I do believe they're developing an impressive cloud-native SaaS product with great learning opportunities, and I hope they consider feedback on remote work.

I had a great time with HR Jyotsana who explained the company thoroughly. She wanted to know my job aspirations and answered my questions, helping me with the interview. She was genuinely conversational, ensuring I understood everything and even scheduled my interview for a Saturday. Then, I had an initial screening where they asked basic JavaScript questions and about my past work.
