Assistant Manager
I found out about this job opening on indeed.com. I applied by uploading my resume and filling out an online form. I got a call from the store manager within hours. We talked and set up a meeting for the next day before the store opened, over coffee. She was ready with good questions for me. The interview felt relaxed, and I liked our conversation. I'm hoping I'll get a callback for another interview.
- I didn't find any of the interviewers questions were unexpected or difficult.
- I was able to comfortably and confidently answer all of her questions, while giving relevant and genuine explanations.
Assistant Manager
The area manager asked me a few times if I was interested in working for club monaco while I was still employed elsewhere. Once I decided to pursue it, I had an initial interview with the recruiter. This was followed by a meeting with a store manager who informed me during the interview that there were no open positions, which made me wonder why I was invited. She then directed me to a different location's store manager, and I was interviewed by an assistant manager. It was surprising that an assistant manager would be evaluating a potential assistant manager. After that, I was asked to complete a personality test at home. A few days later, I received an offer over the phone, but the next day, I got an email stating that they couldn't confirm my start date. This was frustrating after investing time and effort, and there were no follow-up emails. The process felt very unprofessional and not worth the time.
- What is your previous management experience?
Manager
It was a really straightforward interview. I had an in-person chat with a store manager from a different location, and then a second interview over Zoom with the district manager. It was pretty conversational and they asked a lot of scenario-based questions.
- What motivates you to join our company?
- What's prompting your departure from your current job?
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a significant challenge?
