The process started with a phone screen, followed by a writing test due within 24 hours. Then, there was an in-office interview with two senior team members. After the third round, I heard nothing back, which was disappointing given the time invested, especially after completing a time-sensitive test. It felt unprofessional and maybe hinted at the workplace culture.

I found the job on LinkedIn and someone reached out a few days later about a video call with a partner and another senior person. The very next day, they asked me to meet with two more partners. I followed up after that second meeting, but didn't hear back. They had mentioned a writing test at the start, but I guess I didn't get far enough for that. Everyone I met was really nice and easy to talk to. I liked meeting the team. The interviews felt more like chats than interrogations, which was nice. Even though I didn't get an offer, they all seemed genuinely interested in me and what I've done. I enjoyed meeting with the team.

I flew to D.C. for the interview. It was pretty conversational and I felt good about it. We talked about the area too, since I'd be moving. It was a bummer to not hear back, especially since I paid for my own travel. They gave me their contact info, but when I emailed them, I never heard back. It's only right to at least let someone know they didn't get the job.

I sent in my resume and cover letter and then had to do a writing sample that was timed. After I finished that, I did a video interview on Zoom with two people from the team. They were really nice and it felt like a chat. They mostly asked me questions about myself, my experience, and why I'm interested in PR and CLS.
