So for an engineer job, how they interview you can be a little different depending on the company or field. But I can give you the usual rundown of what to expect for an engineering role. Just remember this is a general idea, and it might not be exactly how every place does it. First off, you apply and they look at your resume. The HR folks or the hiring manager will check out your resume and application to see if you've got the right stuff. They're looking for skills, education, and what you've done before. If they like your application, you'll probably have a first chat over the phone or video. This is usually a quick screen by a recruiter or HR person. They might ask about your background, your experience, your tech skills, and why you want to work there. Make sure you're ready to talk about your tech knowledge and give examples from your previous work or projects.
