I applied online. The whole process took a couple of weeks. It begins with a phone interview. The hiring manager is accommodating and willing to explain the entire process. The first interview is a simple coding test. As long as you have coding experience, you should not worry about it. After a couple of days, there will be a live coding section where you get to meet with one of their team members. If you pass this round, you will be invited to complete a take-home challenge. Another interview will be arranged to review your assignment. Two team members will join the code review section, and they will challenge your implementation. I did not receive a further update after this round.

Applied via LinkedIn. Started with a 20-minute OA, then a phone screen which I asked to skip to speed things up. Next was a take-home assignment where I had to build a minimal viable product similar to their project. The virtual onsite had 4 rounds: first, a code review and discussion of the take-home; second, system design; third, HR; and fourth, a Coderpad session with the CTO and BQ. John, the recruiter, was great, always updating me and building a good rapport, which made offer negotiations feel comfortable. I didn't accept because I'm not in HK, but Clover seems like a good company with SV culture there.

Started with a recruiter call introducing the company. Then a phone screen with an easy coding question. Followed by a take-home exercise involving coding and system design, which took about 4 hours to prepare for the next stage. The next interview was a 4-hour session split into different time slots: 1 hour with HR for cultural fit questions, 1 hour reviewing the coding exercise and discussing adding more constraints or use cases, 1 hour for system design review and discussing adding review and more constraints, and finally 1 hour with the CTO, which included another live coding round. I enjoyed the exercise and the process. I completed all the coding questions and addressed many potential scalability concerns. However, they rejected me with a simple statement about basic coding skills, saying they needed developers with more advanced skills. I found this dismissive given the time I invested and my complete solutions.
