Business Development Representative
The interview process was long but efficient. The hiring manager was nice and communicative, which helped speed things up and ensure everything went smoothly. STUDY. Do your research on your interviewers, familiarize yourself with Cloudflare's products, and be organized for the mock discovery call. Always have 3-5 questions ready to ask your interviewers, and try to avoid basic questions like salary or PTO. Good questions show you're as invested in the job as they are in hiring you. Make sure you have strong, personalized answers for "why Cloudflare?" and "why tech sales?"
- Explain the Web Application Firewall.
- Explain the Content Delivery Network.
- Describe a time you faced rejection and how you responded.

It's a long process but they do a good job explaining what to expect in each interview. First, there's an HR screening, then a hiring manager screening. After that, you'll have three panel interviews covering culture, technical skills, and peer fit. Finally, there's an executive interview. The whole thing takes about a month. You should definitely study up if you want to succeed.
- Can you tell me about Cloudflare?
- What made you get into sales?
- What about Cloudflare interests you?
Business Development Representative
So I'm trying to switch careers into tech sales, coming from sales and customer service but without prior tech experience. My first interview was with a nice person who gave me pointers for the subsequent stages. I got through the mock call and was then surprised to pass the second round, which actually consisted of five 30-minute interviews. It was good to meet different people and have interviews on various topics, but honestly, I think the process should have ended there. I then proceeded to the final round, which included two more interviews with San Francisco-based managers that happened in the evening. Despite all my preparation based on the recruiter's advice, both of these final interviews mainly involved me being asked to ask them questions. Since I don't have a tech background, I suspect this is where I fell short. After this lengthy process, the recruiter informed me I didn't get the job, citing concerns about my ability to learn the technology. While other candidates found the process thorough, I didn't find it very effective, especially since some technical questions were repeated multiple times. Also, nine interviews seems excessive for an entry-level role, but if you're interested, it's worth pursuing!
