Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Client Server.
Recruitment Consultant
It was a thorough process with multiple stages. I met with several people, including a senior account manager, the Director of Sales, and the Team Lead for the team I was applying to. They asked a variety of questions about my experience and some scenario-based questions.
- What were your billing figures last year?
- Can you describe your previous companies' KPIs and how they contributed to your success?

It was a pretty disorganized interview process. The recruiter was late for my appointment and then handed me an aptitude test to complete. After I finished, he took it back and left the room again, which I didn't like as I was left waiting around unexpectedly. He then returned and we went through my CV, but he didn't ask specific questions like 'why recruitment?'. Instead, he just calmly discussed my experience and skills from my education and work so far. Then came the exercise: I had to review a sample CV and present to the recruiter why I thought the candidate was good or bad. After that, we did a scenario where I had to make an imaginary call to the candidate to question them about their CV. The interview itself wasn't too bad, the interviewer was nice and engaging, and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. It was quite long, and since it was my first recruitment interview, I wasn't sure what to expect regarding exercises, like if there'd be a group thing or a presentation. I think I failed because I wasn't fully prepared and aware of what was coming. But I appreciated the feedback, which will help me for future interviews.
- What makes you want to get into recruitment?
- What was your reason for choosing your degree?
- What is your proudest accomplishment or best achievement?

The interview process was a bit of a mess and really different from what they said it would be in the email. It started with a test, then I talked to a recruiter, and when I passed that, I spoke with the manager. The manager interview was mostly about my skills and experiences, looking through my CV, and asking why I wanted the job – it wasn't super hard. Even though I traveled here for it, I never heard anything back. I wouldn't suggest this place.
- Can you share an instance where you faced and overcame a challenge?
- Could you walk me through your CV?
- What drives your interest in this position?
