Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

It was a long interview process. The interviews themselves were okay, the people I spoke with were reasonably polite. I found the interview to be more conservative, with a model of ready-made and closed questions. The Role Play phase was the most frustrating, they gave instructions for a 1-hour panel in total, divided into 4 areas. This took a lot of time to prepare and study a product that you don't yet know intimately. And after all this work, they didn't even give me an answer. If I hadn't sought out the HR person to get feedback, I would still be waiting. And even so, that HR person offered to give me feedback and I'm still waiting. I found the whole thing quite disrespectful and disorganized, given the size of the company.

Behavioral Technical

I wanted to give some feedback on the interview process. Even if I were chosen for the next step, I wouldn't continue. The interview felt all over the place and not very professional. One person on the call didn't even turn on their camera, was eating, and took a phone call while someone else was talking. They didn't introduce themselves at the start, and it felt more like being grilled than a chat. It was dull and unengaging, making me feel out of place. The lack of leadership I saw during the interview sealed my decision not to move forward. I think making the interview process more professional and structured would really help candidates and make CleverTap look better.

Technical Behavioral

There were 4 interview sections in total. First, an aptitude test covering cognitive and technical aspects, which was quite basic and easily passable. After passing this, I was invited for more technical rounds. The first technical interview assessed my fundamental knowledge of programming languages, backend, frontend, and SDKs. I received the results in about half an hour, and immediately after, the second technical round commenced. This second round was more in-depth, focusing on Android application development and Firebase FCM. Passing this led to the final manager round, an online one-on-one session with the company's Vice President. The questions in this final round were simple, asking about my future aspirations and family background. Although I answered politely, I was rejected without any feedback, which was quite disappointing. The overall interview process was decent, but the final round felt unsatisfactory.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Could you explain what FCM is?
  • What distinguishes an API from an SDK?
  • Can you tell me about your future career goals?
