Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clearwire.
Sales Leader
The company's hiring process is chaotic. Recruiters are overwhelmed and seem to randomly assign candidates, hoping senior management will approve. There's a lack of coordination between internal and external recruiters, leading to multiple contacts for the same role and confusion about job responsibilities, which seem to change daily. The process is marked by frequent interview cancellations and poor follow-up, reflecting the issues noted by former employees.
- Is ambiguity about the future direction of the company something you can handle?
- Can you commit to working seven days a week, with everyone in the field daily?
Sales Representative
I was first reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn. They did a phone screen with me. After that, I went in for a face-to-face interview. The company was in startup and launch mode, so it was pretty chaotic. I met with a really high-energy manager and had about a 30-minute interview. I got a call the very next day from the recruiter who initially contacted me, and they extended an offer.
- What would you do to make an impact here?
Field Sales Representative
I got an email to come to the Clear regional office for an interview. The interview was pretty easy. The team leader gave it and told me what to expect from the job. Getting the FSR job wasn't too hard, but the job itself is rough and people quit a lot. But, if you could handle it, you'd do really well.
- What would be your plan for the most difficult sales day you've ever experienced?
