Sales Executive
It was a painful interview process. People missed scheduled calls and were late, making it feel dysfunctional. This company seems to be going nowhere with a product that's basically email meets powerpoint with some CRM elements. I knew there was a lot of turnover, but I wanted to see for myself. The Sales Manager was completely disinterested and kept looking at his phone. If interviewers do this more than 3 times, I'm walking out because the Bay Area job market is hot right now, and I don't need that kind of treatment. I'm not just interviewing with them; they're interviewing for me, and that's how it is until the market cools down.
- Can you tell me three words that describe yourself?
Account Executive
It's tough. You'll likely talk to an in-house recruiter, the HR head, a department leader, someone on the team to check culture fit, and one of the co-founders. The good thing is you can probably get it all done in two one-hour sessions. Before you interview, be sure to try out the product so you know what you're talking about, and send your follow-up emails after. They value professionalism, and since it's a team decision, you want to impress everyone.
- Can you share your past experiences that align with this position?
Account Executive
The interview process started with one phone interview, followed by three in-person interviews with the team managers. A week later, I had a role-play interview over the phone where I had to sell Clearslide using Clearslide itself. I received a job offer the very next day. The whole process took about two weeks. They complimented me on sending personalized thank you notes to everyone.
- Can you identify three potential clients for Clearslide and elaborate on the reasons for your choices and their specific use cases?
- Describe your approach to selling value to a client.
