So I had a recruiter who was really responsive and seemed to be rooting for me. The phone interview with him was pretty standard. Then I had an in-person round with the recruiter, followed by 30 minutes with an Account Executive, another 30 minutes with an Account Manager, and 30-45 minutes with the Sales Director. Everyone said they liked me and I would be moving forward. The next round was different. I had to do a slide deck presentation and presented it to the recruiter twice, the sales director twice, and the COO once. Again, all very positive reviews, but then the COO asked me, 'You're interviewing for the AM position? Why? We aren't hiring any AMs right now.....' He said he'd check and they'd get back to me the next day. I followed up with the recruiter several times before finally getting a response saying they aren't hiring any AMs right now, but if they were, I'd get the job. Advice: Know your company's needs before wasting my time! I had put another offer on hold while waiting for their long process.

The interview process was super fast, with three interviews happening right after each other. It kicked off with a screen, and then I went straight into the follow-up in-person interview. The first person I met was really nice, the next one was helpful, and the third guy was like the 'bad cop.' He was super friendly and British, but he totally knew what he was looking for and pounced on any uncertainty. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. The initial phone interview was just a standard screening, asking all the usual basic questions you'd expect.

It's tough. You'll likely talk to an in-house recruiter, the HR head, a department leader, someone on the team to check culture fit, and one of the co-founders. The good thing is you can probably get it all done in two one-hour sessions. Before you interview, be sure to try out the product so you know what you're talking about, and send your follow-up emails after. They value professionalism, and since it's a team decision, you want to impress everyone.

Coding Technical

About a month after I applied, I got this coding challenge on HackerRank. It had four questions and a time limit of around two hours, maybe a bit less, which felt about right to solve them. After that, the recruiter set up a phone interview with two software engineers where I had to implement a data structure. They were pretty strict that the code had to compile and run error-free.
