First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClearCo.
Account Development Representative
Super efficient process. Many companies drag out the process for their own convenience but ClearCo. was super flexible in making time for each step of the process. From start to finish, I was given an offer in 11 days with 4 different online meetings.

Account Development Representative
The interview process started off great, with really personal interactions and detailed explanations of the job and company. Everyone seemed super friendly and like people I'd enjoy working with. I was really excited and got an offer for the ADR role, even though the pay was a bit less than we first talked about. That's when things went downhill. After the offer, there was a super intense and intrusive background and employment check. They told me not to tell my current job I was leaving until it was done. I finished all the paperwork and onboarding stuff way before my start date. A week before I was supposed to start, I checked in with HR at ClearCompany about the documents so I could give notice to my current employer, which I was already uneasy about doing on such short notice. HR told me they had already contacted people at my current company, letting them know I planned to leave. This caused major problems for me and messed with commissions I was still owed. I had given them specific executive contacts at my company who could be reached, but they ignored those and talked to other people without asking me or letting me know first. For a company in the HR/talent industry, this was a huge red flag. When I talked to HR, they didn't give me a good explanation or tell me their policy on this. At that point, I realized it wasn't worth risking my career for this job. I decided not to go forward with ClearCompany and have serious doubts about how they conduct their hiring, including if it's legal or valid. I asked for their written policy on background checks, but I haven't received anything. According to Massachusetts law, applicants have a right to this if an employer does more than 5 background checks a year in MA. So now I don't have my old job, I'm missing out on significant unpaid sales commissions from it, and I don't have the job at ClearCompany (by my choice). All of this happened because ClearCompany was reckless in how they got information. Honestly, I'm really upset about how this turned out, but to protect myself, I felt it was best not to continue. I'd strongly advise against interviewing with or working for ClearCompany. Also, if this is how they operate, I'd probably avoid their platform and services too.
- What qualities make you a strong candidate for this position?
- Describe how you would transition from your current job to ClearCompany.
- What is your reason for seeking a new opportunity?
Account Development Representative
It was a pretty extensive interview process. It started with a recruiter screen, then a phone interview. After that, there were four back-to-back 30-minute interviews. There were more steps if you were good at jumping through hoops. I noticed they weren't a very diverse organization during my interview, which worried me about bias as an ethnic individual. I ultimately wasn't chosen to move forward, but the company will always make the best decision for them. It just wasn't meant to be.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
