Behavioral Presentation

A recruiter reached out to me via phone after seeing my resume on a job board. I had a 30-minute phone interview with them and felt qualified given my degree and sales experience (inside, outside, retail, and real estate). Next, I had a face-to-face meeting with the local Sales Manager. The office staff seemed a bit underdressed during my wait. The interview itself lasted about an hour, but the manager mainly talked about himself and his art, showing me his paintings, instead of asking me questions about my experience or the job. I tried to redirect the conversation, but he was very self-absorbed. I emailed the recruiter afterwards to complain about the interview, which seemed more about his personal interests than my qualifications.

Behavioral Technical

I submitted a quick initial application, then had a phone call, followed by a full application, an assessment test, and a reference check. Finally, there was an interview. It was surprising that no one from the company bothered to say thanks, or mention that they went with another applicant, or anything. The manager didn't return my call.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • We're going to go over your assessment test. Then, some general questions about your experience. We'll also cover the same questions asked in the phone interview, like how you handle rejection.
