Service Desk Technician
The interview for the Service Desk Technician job was straightforward and organized. They communicated clearly and asked questions about both tech skills and how I'd handle real situations. I liked the practical test that let me show what I can do. The interviewers were nice and professional, which made it feel comfortable. I got feedback fast, so it was a clear and quick process. Overall, it was a really good experience!
- What are some applications and platforms that you know how to use?
Virtual Designer
It's a pretty chill interview, they're looking for folks who can solve problems and have a solid work ethic. Expect a few interview rounds, so get your application in early. Since it's a company heavy in construction, having experience in that area would be a big plus.
- What is your knowledge regarding construction?
Project Engineer
After applying to a few openings, I got a pretty fast response. The recruiter gave me a call to screen me and then set up three interviews with people who currently work there. The recruiter switched the position I first applied to, saying they found something that was a "better fit", and didn't let me check out other jobs. But, I decided to keep going anyway. The interviews with the current employees were pretty straightforward, which was good. After all of them, I had another meeting with the recruiter to talk about salary. I asked about the pay range for this job, but they wouldn't tell me. It's tricky to give a salary expectation when they only tell you the project details and location after you accept an offer, especially without knowing the cost of living there. In the end, the recruiter took it as me being unwilling to relocate because I didn't give them a salary expectation, which was a red flag for me, and that's how our chat ended.
- What motivates you to get up and go to work each day in this role?
Senior Software Developer
I went through about six interviews with other developers and some IT directors and VPs. Most were video calls, but I had a couple of phone calls too. The whole thing took a few weeks. They said I'd get an offer at the end, but then they took several more weeks to actually give it to me and then decided to go with someone else, even though they kept posting the job opening.
- Can you share an instance of a challenging interaction with a stakeholder and explain how you handled it?
