Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

It started with an email to set up a phone interview. After that, I got a test with typical customer issues that I had to answer quickly. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview. This was a 2-hour session with three 30-minute one-on-one interviews with different team leads, who were all super nice. The last 30 minutes was another customer response test, like the first one. They were really fast and professional in their communication. The place felt like an exciting startup, and everyone was really friendly and upbeat, in a genuine way. It was a great experience, even though I'm not great at those 'culture fit' interviews.

Behavioral Technical

Applied online and heard back 2 days later for a phone screen. After that went well, I got a take-home assignment with 4 questions about customer interactions. Submitted it and 3 days later, HR set me up with 3 CX Team Leads. I didn't prepare well and expected company knowledge questions, but most were about personality and 'cultural fit.' I knew I didn't showcase my strengths well by the end. Applied to enough startups to know that if you don't hear back in 24-48 hours, you're out. Got notified 6 days after the Google Hangouts interviews that I wasn't a strong match. Learned a lot, though. Never scheduling a morning interview again.

Behavioral Other

I applied online and then heard back after 2 days for a phone screen. Things went well on the phone screen, so the next step was a take-home assignment. This assignment had me answer 4 questions that a customer might ask while I was working the job. I submitted the assignment 3 days later, and it also went well. Then, the HR recruiter set up interviews with 3 CX Team Leads. I didn't prepare well for these because I expected more questions about the company, but most of the questions were about personality and probably to check for cultural fit. Even though I think I'd be a good fit at ClassPass, I was surprised and knew I didn't do a good job of showing my strengths during the interview. Based on my experience with startups, if you don't hear back within 24-48 hours after the interview phase, you usually haven't been selected. I just wish they would let me know instead of staying silent. Candidates spend a lot of time studying, doing assignments, and interviewing. The least HR recruiters could do is take a few minutes to write an email to let us down gently. It was another good learning experience though.
