First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClassPass.
Account Manager
First, there's an HR interview to go over basics like notice period and salary, and to see if you're a good fit. Then, you meet with more team managers. It seems like they ghost you in the end. I got pretty far, even to the final round, and expected an update, but they went silent and didn't even reply to my follow-up email. They seemed nice, but not after they ghosted me.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- Why are you interested in this position/company?
Account Manager
The interview process was quick and efficient. I found the online test to be quite challenging. They also had me do a roleplay, which I felt was a waste of time and suggested they care more about personality fit than skills. It seemed like a female-dominated workplace. I would have accepted the job if offered, but I had concerns about negative feedback regarding Classpass among venues and a general sense of instability and lack of job security. Despite completing three online interviews, I never received any feedback.
- How would you manage a situation where venues complain that revenues from Classpass are lower than for regular members?
Account Manager
Had an onsite interview that lasted about 45 minutes with two people, which was fine. It took about a week for them to get back to me after the onsite, and I had to follow up with the recruiter. She then asked me to schedule a call with another person, though it wasn't clear who this person was. I scheduled the call, and the person was late, more than 5 minutes late, with no explanation. They then told me I didn't get the position. My feedback is: 1. Be respectful of people's time; be on time for scheduled calls and apologize if late. 2. I would have preferred an email instead of a call to be told I didn't get the position. The whole process was very unorganized.
- What are the advantages of Classpass for a studio, in your opinion?
